FAQ
What is a Wax Melt?
A Wax Melt is a small, solid piece of scented wax that is used in Wax Burners to release fragrance into the air. Unlike traditional candles, Wax Melts don't require a wick or flame. Instead, they are placed in a specially designed Wax Burner where they melt when heated by a tea light, releasing their scent as they do so.
How many snap bars do I use?
Our snap bars are intended for 5 uses. Simply snap 1/5 of the snap bar off and place in a clean Wax Burner. Each full snap bar weighs approximately 50 grams.
How long do Wax Melts last?
Lainey’s Wax Melts are designed to last between 8 to 12 hours. Three four-hour tea lights. In smaller rooms, the scent from our Soy Wax Melts will generally last longer, as there is less air movement. In larger or more open spaces, the fragrance may disperse faster, meaning you might need to replace the Wax Melt sooner for continued scent. This of course is dependent on each individual’s preference.
How to clean a Wax Burner?
Allow our Soy Wax Melts to completely solidify. Light tea light for 30 seconds to 1 minute, your Wax Melt should slightly soften and slide out. Place in the bin. Wipe away residues with kitchen roll. Your Wax Burner is then ready for a fresh Wax Melt.
Do Wax Melts expire?
It is advised that Lainey’s Soy Wax Melts are used within 1 year of purchase. We recommend storing our Wax Melts in a cool environment in the resealable packaging provided to retain freshness.
