About Us
We are a family-run small business based in Dublin 15. Myself, my husband and two beautiful boys. I am a huge fan of candles, wax melts and fragrance in general, and am particularly drawn to familiar household scents which have inspired our collection.
In April 2020 spending a lot of time at home in lockdown, I was finding it quite difficult to get long lasting fragranced wax melts, so to solve the problem we decided to start making our own! This was so enjoyable for us. With strong encouragement from our family and friends, Lainey’s Wax Melts began and we are so grateful for how well it’s been going.
Why we use soy wax
Soy wax is derived from a vegetable soybeans. It is a natural, renewable resource and the wax itself is biodegradable (before oils and colours are added)
Soy wax burns slowly due to its low melting point. Unlike paraffin wax, It has the ability to burn clean as it burns with zero petro soot. This is important as we become more conscious of the environment. It also allows us to burn wax melts all day everyday without the worry of soot coating walls, ceilings and other household items :)
